About the IBPA

x

The International Baccalaureate Parent Association (IBPA) is you. All parents of enrolled IB students are automatically members of the IBPA.

Our mission is fourfold:

x

1) Inform – by communicating with students, parents, SUSD, and the larger metro community about the IB program at DMHS. We do this through emails, handouts, the website (www.dmibpa.org), and Parent Education Evenings.

2) Support – of the IB program through fundraising, teacher appreciation, and helping with such tasks as proctoring IB exams.

3) Connect – by providing opportunities for parents and students to interact on a more informal level. Coffee with a grad, International Dinners, and Parent to Parent meetings are examples of these.

4) Recognize – our outstanding students, teachers, and administrators through the Annual Recognition Event held in late May.

IBPA Goals

The IBPA is administered by an Executive Committee, composed of all volunteer parents. We welcome comments and questions about any aspect of the IB program. Please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to pose questions or to volunteer for any projects.

We can’t support the program without you and have many ways for you to help and connect with other parents. See Volunteer Opportunities for a list of these.

We look forward to meeting all of you and sharing the IB experience!
