Become an IB Exam Proctor!
This is a wonderful way to familiarize oneself with the exam process. Oral testing occurs in Jan-Mar and the written exams occur in May.
The proctors are given instructions on exactly what we need to do. This is an easy and fun way to participate in the IBPA. The teachers really appreciate our help. As parents, we get to see how the IB testing works.
For the safety of our students, if you volunteer as a proctor you will need to register with SUSD and undergo a background check. SUSD has an online procedure to become a volunteer. (Note: if you are already registered as a volunteer you do not need to re-register. Registrations last for 3 years.)

Within this application please indicate that you are applying to Desert Mountain High School IB Program, and the type of volunteer from the drop down menu is Classroom: without teacher supervision, requires background check.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY THE $45 FEE. The IB program pays this fee.
IMPORTANT: You will still need to contact the school at 480-484-7000 to let them know you have filled out an application online. Volunteer/Chaperone applications cannot be processed without approval from the school office.
Please contact [email protected] or the school if you have any questions or concerns about the procedure.
