Direct Appeal for Donations
Dear Parents,
We are seeking your support in our efforts to improve the DMHS International Baccalaureate Program.
Every year the IB Parent Association works with the IB school faculty and administration to gift requested supplies and equipment intended to enhance the program. Some examples of the previous classroom teacher requests include microscope slides, periodical subscriptions for several subject areas, foreign language aides, IB sample texts, textbook resources amongst other needed items.
In addition to these teacher requests, did you know that IB Parent Association actively supports this program with quarterly parent education meetings, hospitality at IB teacher meetings, provides parent proctoring assistance for IB exams, and hosts international and cultural gatherings? The IBPA is also responsible for the annual, end of the year recognition event celebration, which recognizes all IB students’ achievements in all grade levels that participate in this prestigious International Baccalaureate Program here at Desert Mountain High School.
Please know that it is through your generosity that we can help support classroom enhancement in this growing program. We are asking you to help us in providing these resources by making a voluntary tax-deductible donation to the IBPA. A gift amount of $25 is suggested, but any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be made using PayPal or by sending a check payable to “DMB-IBPA” to: Gladys Scott, Treasurer, 10938 N. 129th Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85259. A tax receipt will be emailed to you, so please be sure to provide a valid email address. For confidentiality purposes, the tax receipt will include only your name, the name of our organization, and the amount paid.
